Finally, they sure took their sweet time. Realistically should be a quickban though but at least something is being done instead of waiting another 5 weeks "for the meta to settle" and for whatever tournament is going on to finish.

Fucking monster is putting it lightly, Magearna is one of the most broken doubles Pokemon ever. It's on par with the Primals and Xerneas. There's a Doubles Ubers format and Magearna is literally ranked above shit like Kangaskhan, Yveltal and even other broken Pokemon that aren't allowed in VGC like every Arceus forme.

Gen 7 bans:

- Zygarde-Complete (was only legal for a few short days in the very beginning)
- Aegislash
- Landorus-Incarnate
- Genesect
- Pheromosa
- Metagross-Mega
- Baton Pass
- Arena Trap
- Marshadow (if you really want to count this)
- Naganadel
- Zygarde

Then after Zygarde got banned basically nothing happened for a year straight until gen 8 came out.

Gen 8:
- Shadow Tag (got retested but rebanned quickly)
- Dynamax
- Moody (also got retested but turned out it's still dumb)
- Darmanitan-Galar
- Arena Trap
- Kyurem-Black (legal for like a week before getting quickbanned)
- Melmetal (got quickbanned at the same time, got retested and stayed banned)
- Dracovish

Now Magearna is getting the boot soon.

Who, Tangrowth? It gets 2HKO'd with rocks or rain, if this is what qualifies as one of the hardest counters they made the right call at banning it early.
