Best legendary IMO.
It's because of how unique it is.
It was a lab experiment and combined the DNA of humans and Mew.
That led to what they claimed was the most powerful Pokemon.
Also, he looks like a villain from an anime from the 80s or 90s, that's awesome.

Legit solid great design.
Interesting backstory that's different than "just a personified nature phenomenon/god" or "just a elusive beast".
It's one of the only legendaries that actually feels like it's an integrated part of the pokemon world.

I think it looked the best in it's early designs, where it's more squat with less human proportions.

It's original form dabs all over all other alt-forms.

Zoomers will never understand. Relative to the game it was created for, Mewtwo is a pretty intense and scary thing. Reading about its creation on Cinnabar Island and then finally running into this freakish fucking thing in a cave is pretty effective nightmare fuel for a kid; or at least it was for me. I feel Mewtwo represents perfectly the feelings of Gen 1 and 2, where despite obviously being games for children, it always felt like there were darker themes lurking right below the surface that really got my mind racing as a kid.

I agree, they fucked up legendaries a long time ago with gen 3. Legendaries should always be a side plot that the players discovers for themselves, not the main plot of the games.

I don't like the new games because there is no fucking adventure. No mysteries, nothing left to the imagination. The games nowadays feel like a interactive cutscene with RPG elements in-between. Is it that bad that I want a Pokemon game with adventure as main focus? Like what Breath of the wild did with Zelda. Why can't Pokemon fans have the same? Who said I spoil anything you retarded faggot? Stop assuming stuff. I went into gen 7&8 completely spoiler free and got disappointed anyway. Gen 7 felt like a big cutscene with hallway maps and no mysteries that was left to discover on my own. Gen 8 has fixed the cutscene problem a tiny bit, but got worse on the map design. Hallways everywhere! The wild area would be nice if it wasn't so crap with all those lags, bugs and crappy programming. And don't let me start with the villains. So tell me, where was my adventure?
