>>44293293>Gen 2It lost good Hyper Beam, its crit rate, and its special movepool.
It got speedcrept as 110 wasn't as good as it used to be, and more pokemon had better movesets in general than gen 1. It also wasn't very good at setting up.
>Gen 3EVs meant that Tauros' generally above average stats were no longer ALL above average, and it really relied on being generally good all around to function. Its movepool still sucks, and Return+Earthquake has way, way too many holes now. It got a decent ability, though.
>Gen 4The physical special split only hurt Tauros, as it gained Pursuit, but lost Hidden Power. It did get new moves in Iron Head, Stone Edge, and Zen Headbutt.
Its stats in general are starting to look very anemic; 100 attack isn't what it used to be. Anger Point is shit.
>Gen 5 and onwardBouffalant exists, its stats are now pathetic, its movepool has gotten niche improvements but still lacks any clear game changers, and it keeps getting left out of whatever new best friends club Gamefreak is pushing.
