So what things besides the obvious have you realized that you missed from pokemon games?
Difficult battles or big routes/zones are a given, but one thing that brings a tear to my eye is how different the teams of each player are and how they reflect the personality of the player.
Starting in gen VI almost all teams looked very similar (starter-kanto starter-Lucario-Lapras-legendary-whatever) and I missed people truly going "I discovered that this pokemon is now my new bro"

Obvious things:
A rival that isn't a spineless wimp or is basically friend #2
A big post game, though this game probably dwarfs most postgames in general.
Traveling to other regions

Not so obvious things:
The Regi Puzzles, though with the new Regis coming out this point might be moot
Continuing with the previous point. Having to use more than 10% of my brainpower on a puzzle was really invigorating even if costed me a bit of my ego.

Split evolutions. The Gala Duo, Hazmate/Ebolable, and Spookscare and Goryannus are all great examples of why split evos should be done more often.

Hidden Grottos

More than one set of starter trios

And the most important thing to me is the lack of new signature moves. This game has shit like Holy Duty, Come 'n Go, Ow the Edge, Spook Out, An Attack, and my personal favorite: Meme. Having a unique move gives a pokemon some personality and reason to pick it over another pokemon with similar stats.

im assuming its marleyzard that's giving you trouble. if you can't brute force it try toxicing, using a pokemon with an item/ability that hurts drain moves, or setting up on one of his weaker mons. you get bulk up pretty early.

if its really an issue you can catch a sprucifix on route 10 and trade something for your own marleyzard in beehive, theyre both carrymon

Like I had a hard time with Guy and an easy time with Snoop, but my friend had an easy time with Guy and a hard time with Snoop. Each playthrough and each person all have different experiences since the game's actually difficult

All pokemon should be caught using pokeball. It is how every pokemon trainer catches pokemon. Only the autist player catches pokemon with different pokeball.

How is the EV training, breeding in general in this game? Is there some simplified method to do it in game like the super training in gen 6, things like that? I really don't have the autism necessary to put an ungodly amount of hours to make one pokemon passable before those shortcuts were introduced.

Destiny knot makes it easier to max out iv faster by sharing the pokemon with the maxed iv(blobbos in this case) and everstone is to pass the nature of pokemon holding it. Synchronize is used to force the wild pokemon to have the same nature as the Synchronizer. You do not need to worry about breeding though till late post game. I beat E4 with pokemon lv 70 ish

I played through and although I couldn't complete it the first time around, I have a feeling that Chantruth, Cacademon and Chancer are absolute must-haves. well lads. I got it done. the Champion was the hardest fight in the game for me outside of Tumblrita.

tell me what you think of the team. Also, I just like to play the game with 5 pokes and an HM whore (always have done that in mainlines) so Vandash was never used outside of being a straight pivot meat switch so I could get something else in at full health. I had Manatank there for all the gyms but you needed HMs for Victory Road and it was severely underleveled, didn't feel like grinding it up for the Elite 4.

I was not expecting that rival battle and ended up going to the champion with 0 healing items
Kuuroba and Condoom were the absolute MVPs
Condom for setitng up sticky webs and Kuuroba for killing almost everything with close combat

Bad end is injecting items or legendaries that you cannot obtain prior to postgame.
The hysteria about it is because there was a pre-release version where certain legendaries that are obtainable prior to postgame like Jewipede which can be collected at any point after 3 badges or tentaquil which is gifted after 8 badges could trigger the bad end.
As far as I am aware there is no way to trigger the end without actually cheating via injects as of 1.2.

Is it actually possible to inject though? I tried using pkhex to give me ten masterballs to intentionally get the bad ending (because the only video I could find on the end on youtube had commentary) and all it did was make the textbox in the beginning jumbled and softlocks the game.

Just finished the game twice with the same team (Lizakbar , Nutzboltz , Fairileon , Glacialynx , Batterex , Somboludo) and i cannot belive i once thought that official Pokémon Games was better than Fan-games . The dev yeam really did an incredible job .
