I actually rather like the new birds, but their typing is stupid to me, especially considering in the lore we’ve been given Zapdos does not fly and Articuno almost always levitates instead of flying. The only one who’s info didn’t say anything about not flying often was Moltres, and even then it’s pretty silly that the Pokémon named “Fire” in Japan is not going to be a fire type.

The new regis however I feel like look worse. They’re not horrible or anything, but they just don’t seem to fit in with the other designs smoothly to me.

I think they are alright design wise, beside Moltres due to it being too similar to it's original design beside a recolor.

The original regi names roll right off the tongue. The new ones sound so dumb.
Regieleki -> Regilec (regi + elec)
Regidrago -> Regidrake
Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are all 3 sylables. The new ones should keep it that way, or better yet not exist to keep the 3 theme

the problem is that the nu regis are too similar in shapes when both compared to each others, not that "uh they shit because got limbs durr"
at least the original regi trio didn't share the same shapes and silhouette, they had qualities that made them stand out from each others
