It probably would solve the "issue" of Psychic being overused for Legendaries though, the thing is that it would do so too well when considering what types would shift from Psychic to Normal.

Deoxys (Ayy Virus)
Cresselia (Moon)
Cosmog-line (Nebula,Sun)
Necrozma (Black Hole, Solar and Lunar Eclipse and Star)
and also these possible ones:
Hoopa (Wormhole)
Victini (Victory Star Pokémon)
And obviously Palkia, but that ain't a Psychic type and i think people would probably react badly about it and its signature move getting retconned out of its Water Type, and that is me being conservative, there is also ideas like all UBs getting it slapped on.
That said, people do really like the idea of it and "Sound", just like how they were gaga over "Light Type" before Fairy was basically that idea but with more depth (even if it took fucking ages for it to not be overly obsessed with Cutemons) so not like it is out of the running if GameFreak decides to pander to those fags.
