This is literally the standard OU set for Charizard right now but usually with Focus Blast instead of Fire Blast in case you do run into Tyranitar.

Yes, which it why it says "in case". The reason this set works is because Heatran isn't available and Ttar is so rare, that's kind of the point.

Weather Ball: Most consistent STAB option in sun

Flamethrower: For when sun isn't up but you still need to do some kind of damage

Overheat: Insane nuke options that even OHKOs resists like Hydreigon in sun

Obviously all it's sets revolve around leaf storm but it still got lots of different sets.
Scarf, Subseed, Subglare, Z hyper beam, and Life Orb (though this set fell off hard).

Flamethrower is the most consistent move and can be spammed no matter what.
Weather Ball is stronger, but can only be spammed when the sun is up.
Overheat does the most damage, but can't be spammed.
It's actually the top recommended set for OU, with Focus Blast as the only coverage, and Flamethrower being optionally replaceable with Roost (so that you can heal on a predicted switch)
