The previous pokemon games were boring too, but this game has awful plot as well, so there isn't much to look forward to
I did enjoy the gym battles, they are a bit more challenging thanks to the broken gimmick, but beyond that, it's just mediocre
The dlc isn't great either, and it absolutely disgusts me how gamefreak is just selling the cut content for $30, which is $10 more than one of the best dlcs on the nintendo switch (for botw)
The plot in the dlc is just as boring and doesn't seem to go anywhere interesting besides "get this cool rare legendary pokemon for free"
Absolutely awful, and I'm glad I didn't buy the game. I was gonna buy shield, and I was quite hyped with the reveal trailer
I was honestly very excited for my first mainline experience on switch; sucks to see what that turned out to be
I would give it a 4/10 for improvising with the gym challenge thing, and qol updates
But the visuals are horrendous, there are plenty of features scrapped, the game feels like a downgrade compared to previous entries
