Diamond and pearl remakes are not coming. Instead platinum will just be re realeased on the virtual shop with modifications, such as single screen functionality. All gen 4 pokemon will be available (meaning pokemon like glameow will now be catchable in platinum).
Only over half the pokemon will be available for gen 8 and 9 transfer.
For gen 9 we are most likely introducing fusions. Fusion concepts as of now are only in double battles. One beta pokemon is a fusion of a lion and eagle to create a gryffin. Only 20 fusions are planned. Only new pokemon will be able to fuse.
