ITT: you go back to the ancient times and somehow shill your favorite pokemon into being a god. theorize how it would change in depictions over thousands of years, what people would worship it for, how they would worship it, etc.

If I teleported to Johto I could start shilling Wooper and Quagsire as local deities. They could be a sign of good harvest despite of floods and their presence would indicate the best place to plant your rice crops in marshes or lakes. The reason that their expression is always the same is because local deities have no reason to fear mere human affairs. And since Axolotls have regenerating properties I could probably hype that aspect of them too.
