Hell, I bet you even don't know how the division of labor works between Game Freak and Creatures Inc. when it comes to 3D modeling. I know I sure as hell don't. What I do know is that no amount of money or competent programmers can stop crunch. HAL released Kirby Star Allies at 30 FPS because they couldn't handle the Switch for some reason, and had to finish it after release. Monolith Soft, who are super busy helping basically every Nintendo project and has a lot of staff, had some issues developing Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade Definitive Edition is practically a budget game for how little they actually could afford to work on it. I'm genuinely shocked that Sword and Shield don't constantly crash, given all the above circumstances. That's where all the effort went, probably.
