Mulch is mentioned to be a mix of pokemon waste and high grade soil and that it's rather "gooey". Dry soil isn't gooey so the waste before mixing it with soil must be rather slimey.
There are some record of pokemon taking a crap such as Darumaka but as far as I am aware urinating is never mentioned.
All pokemon that can have offspring also happen to lay eggs. Fishes, birds, reptiles, all these animals produce eggs.
There's a common theme among these three animal groups, their waste and urine are mixed together giving it a slimey characteristic as well as only having a single exit hole for it all, including their eggs.
