It’s an Other Meta from gen 7. The premise is that the highest calculated stat besides HP is used for attack and special attack. For example, let’s say you have Assault Vest Regice with full special defense investment. That would make its special defense 822 which would be its highest stat, which would be used as its attacking stats

How the fuck Electrode dodged the bullet and named after a real thing and isn't named Electrodd or Elebomb or Elecball or at least Elektrode?! Seel, Onix, etc. They weren't that lucky.

Not really. While a lot of them definitely do worse because of it, others still manage to be good. Ash Greninja and Magearna are still useful, and even Volcanion can be used
