>Why Tencent is shitThey are also well known for the many controversies,said controversies include but are not limited to:
-Using their chat rooms (yes they have those) to stunt the initial response to Covid, suing anyone who criticizes them
-being sued as a monopoly (they have stock in a LOT of AAA companies, including Marvelous and even big daddy Nintendo)
-using said influence to jam microtransactions into a game (gee doesn't THAT sound familiar)
-making knockoff games of titles they themselves are PARENT COMPANIES OF ( they did this League if I recall?),
-and probably most egregiously... they flat out make propaganda games for the one guy who we all know deep down is just mad he can't be as well loved as a cartoon character.
-Tencent has been accused of SPYING ON ITS USERS. This is a controversy that I feel deserves special attention, since they so badly want to reach out to the US and UK marketplace
-Tencent, with the above point in mind, has had viruses shipped out with its apps and games. You can probably tell why that's of concern
-And let us never forget that awful showing of character at E3, and the butchering of Diablo. Nor let us forget that they had involvement in the Blizchung incident (again, due to them having stock in the company and being an awful company who doesn't care about the people).
They have power, and they ARE the reason a lot of companies are getting ruined.
