That's very reasonable considering it was made by one person who has a full time day job in California where it's balls expensive to live. Real Pokemon games are made by large teams, yet, we get garbage.

Nah, it's not as good as a real pokemon game. Just look at those custom sprites, they fucking suck. GF brings a whole new level of polish. Just because their games don't measure up to your autistic ideal of a "hardcore gaming experience" it doesn't mean they are bad. Remember, pokemon is a game for children and they should be completable by someone who has imperfect knowledge of the mechanics. Cringe 20+ yos are not the demography and never will be. The hack is pretty great. The new types aren't that annoying. I recommend playing Pokemon Brown first, Prism is the sequel to Brown.

It's pretty good, a few shortcomings but a genuine Pokemon experience and feels more like a real adventure compared to Gens 6-8 and more of a sequel to Gold than RSE did. Sound and Gas just got re-balanced recently, so now would be a good time to try it.

This chart seems the easiest to understand.
Honestly I blasted through Brown and the new charts were barely a problem for me. There's some oddities now like Gengar being 3x weak to Fire because it's Ghost/Gas but whatever, it's not that crazy.
