We should have water battles where only pokemon capable of flying of swimming can participate (and with some extra rules) and underwater battles where only pokemon capable of diving can fight.

Is that possible to do with romhacking? I know you can make a doubles only game in most gens, but is gen 5 cracked to the point where you could make a rotation game?

It's the same in doubles too. In the games I tried you can't give them spread moves and Protect and expect them to use them in conjunction reliably.

That's just sad, I'm pretty sure basic AI stuff from the 70s that is standard in any undergrad intelligent systems book could do way better than that. Maybe now with the switch maybe they can give us something reassembling intelligence
