Would be funny if the change were like Aqua's Shelly, which I actually think is an improvement.

Not expecting too much, but a character redesign (hair/clothes) is at least inevitable for all major Sinnoh characters.

Not every region, Kanto has neither, Johto only has a Snowy Mountain, Hoenn only has a Desert, Sinnoh has both but one's post-game, Unova only has a Snowy Mountain in Winter but does always have a desert, Kalos and Alola have both and its arguable that Galar has either and not just generic Snow and Dry themed areas.

Even if you don't want to count the dust bowl in the wild area we have the Potbelly Desert in IoA and 90% of CT is icy mountains. Both are technically a part of Galar as much as the postgame island is a part of Sinnoh.

Well assuming it's not Cynthia for whatever reason I think the other possible candidates would be Charon, Prof. Rowan, Lucas or Dawn although the latter two are unlikely since their syncs would most probably be Sinnoh Starters.
