What do you want to know? Kids actually said this shit back then. Look back at any cheat website, like look at posts from 1998-2001, you'll see all sorts of bullshit. Geocities and Angelfire had this running rampant too.

But you have to understand, the Pokémon fanbase was almost entirely children and young teens. None of them could read Japanese. This was in the 90s when many kids didn't even have access to the internet. Most computers outside of Asia didn't support Japanese text, and images took forever to load and everyone still had dial-up. Long story short, kids will be kids and the environment wasn't there for them to know any better.
