>>44389019From a geographical perspective, this makes Salgoaa an absolute terror in the wild, being dubbed the "Desert King". Among their own (scarcely limited) species, those who stand on their hind legs tallest is often considered the Alpha. Like Salandit and unlike Salazzle, they mostly are quadruped beyond scouting and the aforementioned display of dominance.
Naturally, as many other species in Pokémon and irl, this is not the only factor, such as challenging the Alpha directly in combat. Since their venom scarcely affects one-another from their tough skin and natural resistance, fights for leadership are decided by raw strength, which the species has lots of to spare, and the cunning to use it wisely to exploit the shortcomings their foe may unintentionally bare.
Though it has long since forgone being a fire type like its female counterpart, its fire sac hasn't quite died out. Though to no surprise, it's not even close to what it would be, or even what it once was.
Incidentally, they have nabbed the attention of Salazzle, where many have become downright smitten by the masculinity of Salgoaa. Unfortunately for the former, the vendetta Salgoaa holds runs bone deep, and unless one particular Salgoaa shows interest in a certain Salazzle, they will downright MAUL the Toxic Lizard Pokémon with no mercy, nor remorse. As mentioned, exceptions may apply, but a fair majority of Salgoaa were once Salandit abused by Salazzle, under the guise of a relentless dominatrix.
It's also worth noting that sometimes in fairly rural towns, as well as the open scrub to the east, some Salgoaa may find humans exploring the unknown. A fair majority of people have reported sudden attacks from the Pokémon, which is where the human side of its reputation derives from.
