Game Freak can push Cinderace all they want, if Sakurai thinks the character is bland, and already resembles a character, he won't put it in.
Cinderace has as much as anyone else, including Inteleon, or even Alcremie, if it picks Sakurai's fancy.
Why I think Inteleon will be Gen 8's smash rep, is because he's already a Gunner character, which we haven't gotten for a long time.
We've had swordfighters, and loads of brawlers, but no specialised gunners.
How cool would it be for the next gunner, to also be a pokemon rep.
Inteleon's theme is also mad unique. He shares it with Snake. A secret agent.
Cinderace is a footballer, and there's only so much fighting ideas you could make him do.
A secret agent actually fights. and it's bodily animation could be so cool. Cinderace would be another POSE and show-off fighter. Inteleon would have a cool, reserved manner. It'd have the mannerisms of James Bond, its influence.
Nobody would've thought they could play as a James Bond character in smash. With the hiding, and the turning invisible, it could use it abilities to have a very unique and fun playstyle.
Inteleon has a list of abilities:
- can turn invisible and hide.
- can glide mid-air probably the biggest distance with his fin cape
- can charge a finger shot for lethal attack
- hydrosniper
and probably 20 more cool ideas.
