I assume he means a new psuedo. There was also an early game Beldum in gen 7 too. Early game psuedos are even better because you have you actually really work to get them to evolve. Usually they have shit moves and stats until they're fully evolved, if you get it late game you can grind it up in no time.

Pichu isn’t a Pikaclone. Pichu is Pikachu’s baby and can’t be found in the wild (at least not in its debut generation, I think only USUM has wild Pichu). Pikablu is the Pikachu of Johto. Right down to being needlessly rare like Pikachu was.

I could see them doing this as the official format has been doubles for over a decade and nobody plays it still. Please don't give them any more bad ideas. It says a lot when a battle simulator is more popular than the actual game.
