>>44382728the whole thing is incongruous with the actual setting of the Unova region though, to say nothing of previously established Pokemon Leagues. clearly they tried to match it to the tone of the Ghetsis / N plot, but the result is a clunky anachronism that sticks out like a sore thumb. there's a lot wrong with Galar, but the portrayal of the League fits perfectly into a world where everyone cares about Pokemon, it's significantly better world-building
