This is a similar move to Toucannon's signature Beak Blast, but instead of a burn, any physical attacking opponent will take recoil damage similar to a Rocky Helmet or Iron Barbs. Could stack with those damages.

Meant to be used with Poison Heal or just as support to de-pouson a partner in 2v2. Could go to mostly poison, fighting, and normal type pokemon, or just anything that gets biting moves.

Interesting idea, but would never be used by anything. Poison is easily the least annoying status in doubles, plus there are ways to remove it that dont involve damaging your ally and becoming poisoned. Poison Heal mons are better off giving up an item slot to Toxic Orb, since to pull this off they need to give up a moveslot, also run Toxic, and the opponent has to let them pull off the combo by draining their poisoned mon. There’s basically no distinct use case.

Increasing the power of the move might help just so it can be more useful as coverage, but I’m sure you can think of a better way to go about it.

Yeah, it would definitely be gimmicky. I made it for a komodo dragon fakemon K designed, the idea was to spread poison heal to a lot more pokemon, including some poison types, then give them that move to benefit from it. Since I'm pretty sure poison types currently can't get poisoned by the orb, this would allow them to hold an item, then poison the opponent and use this as a recovery move. I gave it a little damage since the idea is that they bite the target to draw it out, but I didn't want it to be a Poison Fang copy since it's meant to be more defensive.
