Pokemon A1 has 1 more point of speed than B1. Pokemon A1 attacks and deals 50% of B1s health. B1 attacks and does 50% of A1s health. Next turn, A1 attacks again and KOs B1.
Trainer B sends out pokemon B2. A1 is also 1 point faster than B2. A1 attacks, does 50% deamage, B2 attacks and does 50% damage knocking out A1.
That single point of speed meant that pokemon A1 took out 150% of the enemy teams 600% total health while pokemon B1 only took out 50%.
