At least Pokken wasn’t afraid to give us something new with shadow Mewtwo, and they even managed to give Chandelure and Suicune Tekken movesets so it’s not like they weren’t being creative.

Also for the record gatling colored pencils was already a thing as part of the gator train boss in Crafted World

They literally recanted this statement when they finished development on the rest of the roster. The developers clearly had fun creating movesets for shit like Chandelure and Suicune
