Playing LeafGreen after having only played Blue back in the day. Thought it was an improvement in every way until I got to Lavender Town. Not spooky enough, don't you think?

I agree, I have always felt it wasn't as spooky in FR/LG. Even the music isn't as scary. They did make the houses Lavender though.

I think it's just that the GBA's soundfont doesn't lend itself well to the feel of Lavender Town's theme like the GB did. Disappointing, but what else could they do?
