This ability genuinely ruins OU. I am so sick and tired of Regenerator cores on every single team. Low elo players think Smogon has a bias for "stall" but what they actually have is a bias for uninspired fat balance cores that constantly pivot into each other.

Boots largely kills the point of regenerator on offensive mons though, right? Only chip Mienshao is taking without dying is hazards. I guess you can run Lorb for free?

Banded Ho-oh was also good once upon a time, and regenerator helped it a lot with its SR weakness. But Ho-oh is also bulky as shit.

It's because gen 8 is filled with even more Regenerator spam than the previous gens and it doesn't even have Tornadus-T yet. Gen 8 Toxapex is suffocating with the smaller dex and lack of Z-moves.

Doesn't entirely kill the point because you would still like to find opportunities to switch offensive mons in on resisted or weak attacks to make progress. Also makes it get worn down less if it ever eats a toxic. Its definitely not as worth it though.

Slowking is just an inferor Slowbro, Reuniclus and Mienshao are too frail to really make use of the ability, Galarian Slowbro is mediocre, and Eldegoss and Corsola are just jokes.

There, that's all the fix you need. Blaziken and scolipede don't just get +1 speed for making a double whenever, bringing a regen core back from almost dead to full HP by simply doubling back and forth without ever staying in or clicking a single move shouldn't be allowed.

Yeah agree. The way "free" abilities work like speed boost and regen work is way too fking degenerate in this game. The whole point of switching in pokemon is that you have to skip your turn to do it, the way both these abilities work currently break this fundamental rule and lead to degenerate shit like balance teams having way too much longetivity or some HO/BP shit being able to get free sweeps.
