Are Male gardevoir a hoenn only anomaly?
Like how regional variants but just the sex of the gardevoir?
Or some kind of evolution pressure got rid of the gallades in favor of more gardevoirs?

Male Gardevoirs are everywhere. Why does everyone seem to think they don't exist? Is it Gallade? You guys do know that Gallades only come from interacting with a Dawn Stone right? They don't happen unless a Kirlia finds one of those and is a male and uses it, otherwise they level up normally and evolve into a Gardevoir. Its a 50/50 species so its not like males are uncommon at all.

This, the actual on-model design isn't even that girly, it's a 50/50 creature just like any other. I'd be rare if it was prominently female.
I do think Kirlia is hyper-feminine though and have major difficulties imagining it as male

I think they look visually feminine, this for example came from Mystery Dungeon (Official art) and looks kinda feminine. Still it doesn't mean that they can't be male or female.

Yeah that piece certainly does, I was more thinking about the official gen III art.
I'm not against people who interpret it as female, I certainly do, I just hate it when people assume that the design is female only or looks too feminine to be male when imo it is perfectly ambiguous.
