Why does anyone play multiplayer in this series?
Why would anybody spend hundreds of hours breeding/grinding a competitive team when they could just inject or play on Showdown for free?
Where's the satisfaction in beating another player when 90% of the battle is determined by RNG anyway?
What fun do you get out of trading and acquiring Pokemon from some random person you've never met online instead of hunting for them yourselves (version exclusives obviously being an exception, although that's a pointless mechanic too)
Why is seemingly most of the fanbase happy to cheer on Gamefreak constantly shitting on the single-player game, making graphics, animations, story, region design, difficulty and post-game content worse in every subsequent Generation as long as they continue to pander to this autistic competitive dice-rolling simulator?
Am I really in the minority for just wanting a comfy single-player experience? I thought immersing yourself in the world and getting attached to the creatures for a bit of escapism was the foundation of the franchise. But lately it seems more and more like most people only care about bulldozing through the game as quickly as possible then battling online
