That would be true if they didn't put there the water routes you previously could only surface with a boat and let you explore that mysterious sunked ship you saw the first time, and also a water shortcut to Slateport to make the region more interconnected

What exactly is memorable about "grass rectangle with ledges #53"? Alola's routes at least look different where they should. The routes on the left just add and remove trees and call it a new design.
