Why am I supposed to like third version content, but not DLC content? Why am I not supposed to treat a maingame+DLC like a third version despite functionally being one?

Yeah I'm sure all of the hardcore players skipped out on the 20th anniversary game knowing that there would be a third version after BW got a sequel and XY didn't have a followup title at all. A third version split in two for (((no reason))) at that.
