Man made itself/machine will probably always be more in the realm of Steel type like the Klink line or Magearna are.
As for this thread, GF would have done this when introducing a Pokemon based around the entire concept of Prisms & "Light" ie Necrozma, and its trio. It's pretty obvious by this point Psychic IS for all intents and purposes the "Light" type. They even have lore basis with one another regarding certain Pokemon, like Cresselia & Darkrai.
