Cinnabar explicitly has a volcano in the games, the anime, and the Adventures manga.

In HGSS you can even Rock Climb to go up to the crater.

Sorta, but still there are grass-covered volcanoes that look identical to the one in OP's picture. New zealand is filled with them.
