its ugly (far from the only ugly aspect of the design) but also completely unnecessary. can you see the mouth on caterpie? does it matter that it doesnt have a mouth?
the thing i hate most about the designs in SwSh, all of them, is that theres no effort put into structure. no one thought about how these designs were supposed to work as a real creature, how they move, how it stands up, etc
blipbug is a waterbaloon with a bowtie, and there is nothing about that which is a good idea for a monster in a monster collecting videogame
