>>44431946Let's go over some pros and cons of various nintendo dlcs
>Splatoon 2+ New campaign
+ Unique mechanics
+ Fun charactersw
- Short
- Base game's campaign was short
$20
>BotW+ Massive new dungeon
+ Master mode, which shuffles enemy placement for the entire game and improves enemy ai
- Champion's ballad is trash
- Reward for champion's ballad isn't even worth it
$20
>Fire emblem 3 houses+ New story
+ Mechanically more similar to classic FE titles
+ New support convos helped flesh out several lacking characters
+ Maddening mode given out as free dlc, while this hurts the overall value of the dlc, I can't fault them for not fucking over players
- Some chapters of the dlc are janky
- Missed opportunity by not making it a prequel story
- Rewards for beating the dlc can cheapen the difficulty of the main game
$25
>Pokemon swsh+ Not as bad as the main game
- Boring "boss" fights with trainers that still have nfe mons
- Uninteresting characters
- Another bland wild area, this time even smaller
- Features that should have been in the base game cut and resold
- Following mons implemented so poorly I would literally have preferred if they didn't even try, which in all likelihood, they didn't
- DLC for an unfinished game
- Was most likely put in development around late june
$30
Now personally, I don't think ANY of these are good dlc. That being said, one of them clearly stands high and mighty as the absolute worst of the bunch, a separate tier of jewery of its own.
