I played Black 1 using serperior, and dude, that fucking snake did nothing useful in all the game and his TM compatibility was bad. I remember using it with coil, strenght and leaf blade for most of the game. Simisage has better move variety than him, dude learns bite/crunch, acrobatics, and seed bomb, much better for ingame.
I used Samurott in Black2, he is ok, but nothing special for a water-type starter. Using the move relearner to teach it Megahorn was cool.
I never used that fucking monkeys, but they are better than the starters in the first part of the game.
