1.) Just start programming. Build yourself a website with some interactive functionality. Classic example is a to-do list site that stores your to-do list in some kind of database.
2.) If you like it and find any affinity for it, find a decent tutorial/lesson in your area of interest (web dev, data stuff, etc.) that covers most topics. There are lots of inexpensive "schools" for learning stuff online that can get you real far. Make sure you can actually build something on your own without much guidance by the end of it.
3a.) Go to a code bootcamp. This is the low IQ entry into SE, but it's a lot cheaper than 3b.
3b.) Get a damn degree. Lots of dumb memesters just go to code bootcamps and most of them are shit programmers. But all of us actually smart engineers despise you.
4.) Apply everywhere. Make a LinkedIn.
5.) Do lots of open source coding and make it obvious that you actually care about coding even if you don't
