Yes, because trapping abilities are broken. When they tried to ban just Dugtrio, people subbed in Diglett and Trapinch to equal effectiveness. Same with Gothitelle and its Prevos.

If certain mons are just so objectively good that you'd be shooting yourself in the foot by not using them, it invalidates other mons and kinda defeats the purpose of Pokemon in general, which is centered around being able to choose what your team is.

Yeah, because the ability itself was banned, not a specific combination, furfag.

I'll repeat, Cinderace and Blaziken are not getting and will not get special clauses because Speed Boost and Libero/Protean are not broke/uncompetitive abilities in itself.

Gorilla Tactics is objectively inferior to Huge Power. The only reason it seems broken is because Darmanitan actually has a good attack stat.
Protean/Libero aren't broken because Kecleon has it. If the ability was fundamentally broken, people would've started using Kecleon in place of Greninja the same way they used Diglett and Trapinch in place of Dugtrio.

Nothing that's been banned, except maybe Galar Darmanitan, is actually broken. Magerna, Cinderace, and Dracovish are beatable if you're not some brain dead mongoloid whose entire team is set up sweepers and you're not one of those idiots who thinks it's smart to put heavy speed investment in a Pokémon with base 70 Speed.

Smogonfags can't beat these Pokémon because they don't know how to play. It's as simple as that.
