There's nothing wrong with harsh recruit rates.
Why should the game just hand you a mythical pokemon?

There's bigger fish to fry like the system that punishes you for staying on a floor too long

Mew is supposed to be a legendary pokemon, somethint incredibly rare
Of course i won't bother doing that shit over and over, but a few people will end up catching it, either by being lucky or by being autistic and doing that over and over
zoom-zooms are too used to having their legendaries handed to them on a silver platter by some guy in a pokemon center

Not even that, it's the first Mythical, Pokémon that are exceedingly rare, it's Dex entries are about it being difficult to see/find, it's nature in media is usually an elusive prankster (especially due to the fact it has Transform which naturally lends credence to it being super hard to find), theyve literally done everything to establish short of writing "THIS IS FUCKING HARD TO FIND" in big red letters on it that it's super rare.

It makes SENSE why they do this for Mew, and not for Kyogre or Lugia or whatever. It's not even that hard to find or get, you're pretty much guaranteed to get 2-3 encounters with it which you can maximize your recruitment chances with.

Keep crying. I'm glad the remakes changed that shit for a less, yet still fairly challenging way to recruit it, so I can actually get to use fucking Mew for once

I don't even care that they changed it in the remake (which I've never even played) it's more convenient now cool, but I never disliked it in the original. Dunno why you're throwing a fit about the original if you're playing the remake lol

The difference is that if I want to catch a Latios in ruby, I just have to bike around for a bit in the postgame. When I try to get Mew in PMD blue, I have to go through a 99 floor dungeon 4 fucking times to even see it.
