For me, the hardest part of the game was depositing a pokemon to receive an egg... I was legitimately stuck for days grinding dark cave.

I literally couldn't get out of the house for weeks until someone else figured you need to be on the red carpet and step in the direction of the wall.
Nowadays I have a masters degree and work as a software engineer btw.

Genuinely broke 4 year old me. Took me forever. When I finally did it I was so happy. I know that these days it would take me minutes at most, but I wish that the games threw older fans a bone and made more difficult puzzles. I suppose that the puzzles wouldn’t feel as hard with it being in 3D which limits what they can do really

I didn't know how to save and would think Mr Pokemon was the most Pokemon was the most Gold had to offer until my older brother with actual Down Syndrome worked out how to save and I played as BraAdd.! for the rest of the game. Still have the cartridge with that save file on it
