> gen 1- skipping misty or erika makes sense depending on the team
- the order of gyms 5, 6 and 7 is optional and clearly intentional
> gen 2- ecruteak city is clearly a fork in the road to decide which gym to go to
> gen 3- skipping the 2nd gym is a valid strategy depending on the team
it just got more and more linear
