The fairy type is a great typing thematically. I wish more people could realize it. I'd love to see more Pokemon like Xerneas, the Tapus, Ribombee, Grimsnarl, Hatterene, Mimikyu, Florges, Zacian, etc. Its the typing that I think has the greatest potential.

Oh yeah them too! I've liked the more fable orientated ones more than the simple magical fairy route, but both have their place in the type.

Why does everyone have to always demand we get more "morbid/old fae" fairies like Grimmsnarl? An occasional subversion is nice, but most Fairy Types should not be like that. Fairy is about love/magic/compassion/girly shit. If you don't like "cute" Fairy Types, then that means you don't like Fairy Types. That doesn't mean Fairy Type needs to cater to your ye olden lore/grimdark tastes. Some of us rather LIKE the girly pink rainbow shit, and that's what the Type is primarily for.

I think fairy should incorporate both styles, cute and dark. Fairytales are usually morbid fantasy stories wrapped up in a lesson to teach kids. Historically, fairies were not nice or kind creatures. They were underhanded tricksters who enjoyed playing with humans.

But, of course, I enjoy the cute designs due that just have to do with magic and healing. I just feel that it belongs more to the Psychic type.

Both have their place in the typing. I don't think limiting the concept strictly to "Love/Magic/Compassion/Girly Shit" is as interesting as what the type at its best can symbolize. I'd also make the argument that its not really a subversion of type, when the trademark Legendary Fairy pokemon is literally Yggdrasil and the Tapu's are literally Old Fae. That's just how the type is.

I don't even hate cutesy/girly designs(Ribombee is one of my favorites), but Fairy sticks out like a sore thumb as a type. The rest try to be varied, but Fairy is mostly not.
