It's the usual shtick of Team Rocket stealing the pokémon but when Bonnie tries to stop them they straight up drop her to her death. Luckily said pokémon, a tyrunt, evolves at the last second and saves her from falling in midair.
It's just funny how Team Rocket can be sometimes incompetent and other times ruthless.

I watched everything from OS to Kalos and got mad that he won Alola.

He should have won during DP and during Kalos. It turned into a typical shounen during that season but I enjoyed his party, and it was a breath of fresh air from Unova/Decolore Islands.
