Don't make this stop you, there might not even be a DP remake in the first place. If there is one you could still play it and once the remakes are revealed you can just play something else during the hype season

If there's one thing that continues to baffle me about the series and probably won't return in any DP remakes in spite of it being present in the originals is the fate of the VS Seeker, not only was it an effective way to cut down on grinding but it also made it so you could see the fully evolved forms of Pokemon you might not have otherwise seen and also gave a sense that you and your rival aren't the only trainers actually training their Pokemon.

I guess in B2W2 when they added the repeatable Pkmn Breeders that also helped but if you're going to do that you may as well apply it to every trainer that way Routes can be more demanding on the player.

If they release DP remakes next year and you don't feel like playing them because you played Platinum over a year ago, then you lose literally nothing by just not buying and playing them as soon as they come out. In fact, you (temporarily?) save $60usd plus tax.
