You know, as someone who doesn't play the meta, the people crying about boots are worse than the fuckers running it. At least I can avoid those running it.
There's a few different actions you can take, stop playing smogon rulesets, stop bitching about smogon rulesets or try and change smogon rulesets. From what I've seen over the last fuck knows how many years though, the first two options are far easier than the last one.

The point is that Venusaur doesn't have to necessarily cary ground coverage. You're also free to click a fire move whenever you feel like because you don't have to predict the Heatran switch-in which wastes sun turns.
