Major bug type trainers are usually placed early for that reason, their strong Pokemon can't hold up later on. Even Aaron despite being E4 doesn't have a real bug type as his ace and still uses trash like Beautifly.
>>44480415I know. There's a very clear intent of hierarchy and counters and thought processes in types. Bug is the early game punching bag that's designed to teach you how strong evolution can be, but also teach you the dangers of using inherently poor types and strong Pokemon decay.
