>>44481801When I made that post it was before I had reached Mauville. Meaning I had the entire preceeding route and the path to Verdenturf. Thats like 20 fucking trainers man. PLUS the gym trainers and I lose to Wattson twice on his last Pokemon. That is plenty of XP.
>Which really doesn't make sense given the variety of double battles, status stallers, and naturally hard hitting Pokemon you'll fight before that point that screw over just using one Pokemon. I actually find these things encourage only using one Pokemon. Less waste on berries and once you get to certain level you can just blast through them with Psybeam and not even worry about their attacks at all because you are faster and OHKO. Again, some will read this as grinded, but I really didn't at all.
>>44481820You keep using this word deliberately like somehow that is going to make your argument stronger. I don't know how many times I need to tell you that I did not deliberately overlevel my Pokemon. Not once did I grind in the tall grass. You saying I did does not change my argument at all.
And yes, if a game can be cheesed then it has design flaws. That doesn't make it a bad game, but you have to address the fact that there is cheese available and this can sometimes really hurt the game. It's just a criticism of a game I'm playing, no need to get super butthurt about it.
>>44481841I fail to see how playing a game in a completely intended way is the same as using cheats in a platformer. If the develops really didn't want anyone ever getting overleveled then they could've instituted a level cap or something. Just because I didn't handicap myself doesn't mean I cheated.
