Ranger is underrated as fuck (at least in general, I see a lot of love for it here) and I wish half it's features would be ported over to the main games
The Orre games I think are honestly overrated, the aesthetic is god-tier with a great region and soundtrack, but the gameplay itself is just fast-travelling between cities, battling over and over again and having your catches restricted to a few pre-selected Pokemon. The lack of routes and wild encounters makes it get stale. Also double battles take fucking forever.
Go was fun for like a week before you realise every Gym is run by a handful of mega-autism power-gamers that have played since launch. I guess if you're just playing to collect then you can enjoy it though.
Masters was fun for about a day before the battling got old. I loved the cutscenes though honestly, it gave characters way more time to shine than the games allow, and let strange combinations of characters that wouldn't normally meet interact with each other (like Barry/Flannery). Pryce went from being the shittiest Gym Leader in the series to one of my favourites.
I still need to get around to Conquest, I've heard good things
