I thought X and Y did a good job with it's pokemon distribution even though it had a shitload of them, so do 600 or so

Hopefully this is the last generation where they add new Pokemon.
Maybe they could actually work to improve the games instead of making new creatures?

I would be okay with 90-100 new pokemon in a 400-450 pokemon regional dex. Anything larger starts to feel bloated in a main game.

I think Gen 8 will give us 2 more mythicals so gen 9 starts with 900. Would live it to end up with Pokemon 1000 as final one.
