All three have different hairstyles, Gurdurr's is just unkempt and messy. Neither other stage has anything even close to clown-like about it, so I have no idea why so many people seem to thing they are somehow clowns. If anything this is an interesting case of a pokemon's themes being a little too subtle and specific for its own good.
>>44485120I disagree about the eyes not looking sunken in, those circles are way too thick to be eyeliner and they make it almost look like Conk's eyes are situated in craters. And Conk's red nose is bigger than Gurdurr's, as if it's swollen more in old age. But it's fine if you don't like it, the whole line is trying to be very specifically Japanese humor and that doesn't land for everybody. I was just hoping to explain why it looks the way it does, it's a really conceptually creative line (and conk is strong as hell) so I'm kind of a fan.
